5 Tips: How to Choose that Perfect Party Bra

So you have found the perfect dress for Christmas. Now you need the right bra to go with it.

Ok, so you can always go braless, but that wouldn't give you the support you need, would it?

For the party season, you will need a wardrobe of bras to go with your party dresses. Different dress or top styles demand a different type of bra to look best.

#1 Do away with the straps

The first you should get for party wear would be a strapless bra. That bra would go well with your strapless dresses, halter tops, and even your strappy tops. With a strapless bra, you need not worry about your straps showing.
For a better cleavage without padding, go for a bra that fastens in front. This is because a bra that fastens in front pushes your breasts together giving you a better cleavage.

#2 Sheer clothes with nude bras

Next, if you are going to wear a sheer dress, get a bra that is in your skin tone. A nude bra as close to your skin tone as possible A white bra if you are very very fair, a black brown if your skin is very black, a chocolate bra, or a peach bra, whatever is closest to your skin tone, in a simple design that disappears on your skin..
#3 Take advantage of the versatility of convertible bras

If you want the support straps offer in your bra under your party dress, get a bra with removable straps. A convertible bra that can be worn with virtually any outfit would be ideal. Not just your party dress. If you wear a dress with a criss cross back, simply adjust the straps of your bra so you get a criss cross bra that gives you the full support you want, while hiding the straps beneath your dress. If you are going to wear a halter top, then adjust the bra accordingly.

#4 Go backless

What do you wear when it comes to a backless dress? You could go braless, and risk sagging. Droopy breasts aren't sexy. You could wear a very clever bra that does not need any support at the back. A backless bra would do the trick.
#5 Boost your cleavage

Finally, if you want to show off extra cleavage in a cleavage revealing dress, that is where you bra comes in really handy. Just wear a push up bra. Alternatively, you could stuff in a sock, tissue paper or even a shoulder pad into your regular bra to get the cleavage you want.

Tips for Choosing a Plus Size Bra

Lingerie is one area where women can really enjoy themselves. If you wear some really glamorous or sexy lingerie, and you will feel sexy and glamorous too!

When choosing a bra, it is always advisable to get yourself measured by a specialist. In the UK, Rigby & Pella (London) or Bravissimo are THE places to visit, but you can also visit high street stores, who are often able to carry out a bra fitting.

Many plus size ladies are tempted to go for a bra which is too small, not wanting to emphasize their size. However, this often has the reverse effect by greating the "four boob" effect!

Three tips for choosing a plus size bra:-

1. Choose an underwired bra, for extra support and shape
2. Remember that the bra should enclose your breasts
3. The central part of the bra should sit flat against your chest

Buy a bra which is comfortable on the middle hooks, that way if you change size a little, the bra will still fit. If you find that your size changes during your monthly cycle, consider buying a different sized bra.

When choosing a bra, take along a close fitting t-shirt to see what the bra looks like in fitting clothing. Although it may be pretty, you may not want the lace pattern to show through your t-shirt. Also, this helps you see the shape that the bra gives to your breasts.

Don't worry about minimizing your breasts - make the most of them and enjoy them!

Lingerie For Women With Real Bodies

I hate looking at lingerie ads. Oh, the lingerie is not the problem. The models are. What woman who lives a real life has a body like that? I don't! If you are like me, it is important to know there is lingerie for women with real bodies like us girls.

It wasn't long ago that women who were not size one were pretty much out of luck when it comes to lingerie. The choices basically boiled down to industrial bras similar to something Madonna wears in her concerts and big, formless and definitely unsexy panties. Fortunately, this grim assessment no longer applies today.

Lingerie designers have awoken and realized that there is a bit section of the market that does not find a g-string the size of tooth floss to be an option. This has led to an explosion in options for us women with real bodies. When I say explosion, I mean it. Every single form of lingerie now comes in a size for real bodied women in addition to all those malnourished super models we see in the magazines. How is that for progress?

Of course, not every piece of lingerie is perfect for every woman. Some just go with certain body types and some do not. The key, of course, is to understand this rule and how it applies to your specific situation. Every woman has parts of her body that she loves and parts that make her want to find out more about plastic surgery. Often we like to emphasize our breast, but not so much our derriere. If this sounds like you, why not wear a plunge bra that enhances cleavage with a longer silk robe that hides your rear? Remember, emphasize the good and move the eyes away from the not so good.

A second issue where us normal gals can go wrong with lingerie has to do with sizing. We often equate smaller to better. This can be true with the amount of material used in the piece of lingerie. This is not the same as saying a smaller size is better. Do not confuse the two. Buy a style of lingerie that emphasizes your assets, but make sure to buy the right size. Going one or two sizes smaller than you would normally wear is not going to make you look good and is going to be uncomfortable as well. It is hard to be sexy if you are uncomfortable.

Waif-like super models are great and all when it comes to fashion, but we real women need something more realistic for us. Fortunately, there are plenty of options available for us today.

Know the Ins and Outs of Your Bra

The brassiere has been with us for a very long time. During this lengthy period, the bra has evolved from a seriously uncomfortably contraption to the modern equivalent. Along the way, the terminology used for bras also changed significantly.

If you want to get the perfect fit on a bra, you are going to need to communicate. You should speak with a professional fitter at least once in your life. When you do, understanding what they are talking about is key. Here are a few phrases that are commonly used by the pros, but most of us don't know about.
"Comforters" do not refer to something you put on the bed. With bras, this refers to a type of strap that can be worn with a bra. Some of us have shoulders that simply were not designed to comfortably carry the average bra strap. You might be too boney, not boney enough or whatever. "Comforters" are wider straps that are padded. They often are used to create a better fit over the shoulder with less friction than found with normal bra straps.

"Wicking" is a term that is often used in two situations. It refers to the ability of a material to deal with humidity. The most common usage is when discussing sports bras. Since you will be sweating, you usually want to wear a bra that has microfiber material that will wick the moisture away from your body. This can also be the case with other bras if you tend to sweat, feel hot about the breast or live in an area with serious humidity and heat issue.

The "Gore" is a term that is always used by professional bra fitters. The gore is the material that sites between the cups. If you are having fitting issues, one of the first things that will be examined is whether the gore is made of material that stretches or not. Most fitters prefer material that does not stretch because you are then able to be sure of the sizing.

"Foam lined cups" are another phrase you will hear from professional fitters. Most women misunderstand their purpose. It is assumed that the foam is intended to create the impression of larger breasts. It is not. The true purpose is to create a better shape and provide support for the breasts. As you probably know, breasts are not symmetrical. A fitting professional will often suggest foam lined bras to create a more uniform look and fit.

There are a surprising large number of terms unique to bras. If you are not familiar with a particular term, make sure to ask so you know exactly what you are getting into...literally!

Satin Panties Can Jump Start Your Sex Life Back Into Gear

Your sex life is not what it used to be. Instead of having sex everyday like in the beginning you both have sex 6 times a year. It's work, bills, and the shopping list for Sam's Club.

Welcome to the life of more Americans than you think.

This is for all the wives out there in this situation. I am going to give you a huge tip. Go online and buy yourself some sexy satin panties. You will feel sexier and look even more sexier in the eyes of your husband.

Not that he doesn't think you are attractive now. Most couples that are not having sex still love each other very deeply. These couples still think their spouse is attractive. But the fire has gone out. You see each other everyday. Even the hottest celebrities have this problem. Who could get tired with Demi Moore or Jenifer Aniston?

Put on a pair of white or black satin panties and see your husband's reaction. I promise it will be like he is married to a whole new woman. He will notice. Your cotton panties are good. Your cotton panties are comfortable. But your cotton panties do not stand out. They do not grab your husbands attention like satin panties will. The soft touch of satin alone will turn him on if you brush up against him.

There is just something just so sexy about satin. Of all the types of panties there is none more sex appealing. Elle Macpherson Intimates makes some great panties for you to try. There is also Victoria's Secret. Shop around a see whats out there. You know what your husband likes. Buy it, wear it in front of him, and you will have his attention. Tease him a little bit.

Yesterday he was asking you what's for diner. Now he's drooling all over you. You would be shocked about the power of panties. Its remarkable when you think about it. Your looks have not changed. Your body has not changed. But if you change panties you have no idea how different they can make you look. Panties give woman a different persona you might can say. They emit different feelings. Cotton panties tell your husband nothing. Satin or silk or lace panties tell your husband "come and get me."

Women's Panties Online - A Guide to Buying Silky Panties

Buying panties has never been easier - there are literally thousands of lingerie and panty sites online, making it a pleasure to browse, comparing panty styles from site to site.

In the UK panties used to be known as knickers but this term is now being less used - the term panties somehow has more 'sexy' connotations as opposed to the more 'sensible' overtones implied by the term 'knickers'.

The following description of types of panty should help you in your purchasing decisions, and this is addressed particularly to men who may well wish to treat the significant woman in their life to some new panties.

Bikini panties

These panties tend to ride low on the hips and usually a bikini brief has a full back, although this can vary.

Full brief

The top of the panty is generally higher, resting on the waist. They achieved humorous notoriety as the panties featured in the Bridget Jones movie. There are a few variants of this design too:

Boy leg

These briefs finish across the legs horizontally, giving the effect of tight-fitting boys' shorts. Generally such designs are created in lacy or sheer materials.

High Cut Panties

These are the opposite to boy leg, in that the sides of the brief are cut in such a way to show more of the top of the thigh - these do look very sexy as they have the effect of accentuating and enhancing the apparent length of the person's legs. They are also known as French cut.

Thong Panties

The thong consists of a waistband connected to a narrow (sometimes little more than a string) at the rear, and a small triangle of fabric at the front.

Very little material goes into a thong - generally the back is very slim, and disappears between the buttock cheeks! Great for wearing under very tight-fitting trousers as it eliminates the visible panty line, often known by the acronym VPL. It is also great when worn under white, as it appears that no panties are being worn at all! The downside is that initially such panties can feel very different; however once you've become used to the different sensation you'll probably find yourself hooked on these! There have been surveys online, and certainly in ladies up to twenty five years old the thong appears to be the most favoured type of underwear. However it must be said that the survey should not be taken too seriously because it only related to a fairly small group of individuals, and was self-selected. It is possible that more thong wearers has chosen to respond, whereas wearers of other types of panties had not responded.

The thong, or the tanga as it is known in Brazil, has a number of variants:

G-string, V-string and T-back vary the amount of material attaching to the waistband at the back. Some authorities assert that the G-string owes its derivation to strippers' underwear, and there does seem to be a blurring of how these items are described from country to country.

Crotchless panties (also known as open-crotch)

This design of panty is self-explanatory; generally a well-received choice for bedroom wear, for obvious reasons!

Panty sizes

However the biggest problem when buying panties online tends to be the sizing. The prime issue is that many countries all have their own method of specifying sizing. In a 'bricks and mortar' shop you can inspect the panties whereas online you will be dependent on the accuracy of descriptions. Some companies on the Internet will provide sizing charts that allow conversion from say continental Europe to UK, to Australian sizes. Even in Europe sizes can vary, so conversion charts will be needed between for example France and Italy. Unfortunately the most awkward sizes to convert to and from are those of panties from USA.

It is strange that with probably more American lingerie outlets online than those from other countries that they have made it difficult for those living in other countries to actually buy from them with confidence, based on sizing!

Materials used for panties

As with other lingerie there are a variety of materials, ranging from lace to satin to nylon. Certainly in the USA it is common to find that the gusset has an inbuilt cotton crotch. Indeed it is probably more difficult to find panties without the cotton crotch although in the UK there are companies who are now making retro copies of fifties sheer nylon designs. They may not be suitable for everyday wear but such designs are intended to drive the man in your life wild! Interestingly, the materials and designs that have resulted in consistently regular 're-orders' from the sites I am involved with are the conventional classic designs in satin finish. The material, with its sexy glossy finish, looks great on, and feels very silky to wear. These are the panties that I wear for preference (sorry guys - no thongs for me!) However I have searched the world for suppliers and there are very few manufacturers that use this soft satin material.

So next time you are thinking of adding to your lingerie drawer, do what so many busy women do, and let your PC help you search out the most comfortable sexy panties from he comfort of your own home!
